Beautiful & HOT! It's OCTOBER! Started at Bird, actually, was powered nicely for about 90 minutes. Tried a waist harness from Don, but it hurt my back. Going back to the seat really felt good. Bunch of people decided to head to Bob Hall, a lot that had never sailed in the Gulf before. It had been out briefly once before.

Everyone did great, had a blast. My day was absolutely fantastic, even though I didn't do that great in the Gulf. It was more learning experience stuff, but I loved it anyway. What a great place to live! There were about twenty windsurfers out, which is about 20 more than I usually see on the coast. Just a fantastic day, needs to be duplicated. I think that after a few more times there, I'll be able to get out a little easier and won't be so tired so quickly. The little shorebreak can be knarly for a newbie like me. And toward the end of the day I was really very overpowered in the 30 mph gusts outside the breakers. Just holding on for dear life, even though my arms were dead. Love playing out in the rollers. There were a few over-the-head swells and they got steep a couple of times, but it was just tons of fun, great to windsurf with a bunch of people.
