Fun blasting day in totally powered conditions. I could have used the F2 today, but I was mostly comfortable on the Carve and it'd been awhile since I'd had a fully lit day. So, I kept on the board I knew.
I'm becoming a pretty consistent jiber in powered up conditions. My main problem has gone from footwork or sail flip to bearing off. When it's really windy and the chop is a little weird, as it can get at Bird even though the chop it's big, it's tough to bear off and initiate the jibe. Everything falls apart if I don't start right. That's the next thing I'm working on for my jibes. It's a chop thing. I can jibe pretty well in flat conditions, but the chop makes it much more difficult (obviously). I'll get it down. I did find that I could recover and time things pretty well, even if things started to fall apart. A lot of that had to do with being comfortable with the Carve now. When I was on the F2 yesterday, I wasn't comfortable (it's a slow board until you start to jibe, then it SCREAMS). I actually had to bail out of about a dozen jibes! Fun in it's own way.
