I arrived at Whitney for the Texas State Championship on Friday morning. It never really looked like it was going to blow but I wanted to get out and tool around anyway so I rigged the 7.8 and pulled the Equipe off the racks and went sailing.

It was pretty much just a light wind, get-a-feel-for-the-board type day. I still don't have any experience on a longboard but what I've done in the last couple of months. I really don't like the beasts that much.

The wind was very light, in fact, it might have been the lightest I've seen since I've moved to Corpus. Corpus never is glassy, there is almost always wind. Keep in mind that I live in town, not near the water, and I only head to the ocean when the forecast is for at least some wind.
