I really had to work very hard to plane today. I think B&L would have had no problem, but I found it just below my planing threshold most of the time. Not enough gusts to get my large body going. I had the idea, going into today, of staring at my front hand on my vulcan attempts (I was going to draw a big V in the back of my right hand). Unfortunately, I found it very tough to plane all afternoon, and when I did, I killed my speed on set-up. I often fell off the plane prior to the attempt. I also found on the few attempts I did do, I had really poor rotation. It does not help to see the kiters plane all over the place while you shlogg. I need a great warm planing day at Bird! | ||
