Summer has been atrocious here in Auckland, not that good weather is deserved obviously. But very different different from usual. Basically rain and more rain, very gray days. But today was much better than forecast, and with NE, back to Takapuna. That's another weird feature of our weather, a lot of NE, and obviously Northern winds always bring rain.

But was sunny at Takapuna, only the occasional clouds. Nicely powered up, navigating the huge swells, huge in my experience, i.e. 4 feet or so. Gybes didn't work very well, got only 2 or 3 or so. But was very pleasant to feel the sun.

Quite busy, 15 windsurfers I think, and 6 to 8 kiters.
