Today was a close copy to yesterday. I was powered up nicely on the 6.6 most of the day. There wasn't anything great about today... I didn't make any great jibes, I didn't make any great jumps, but I do think I learned a lot about both. What I learned was just little things but I think in the long run what I learned will be very valuable. As I look at the wind reports for yesterday, I see that the wind was blowing in the upper 20's at times. And yet, I didn't have any problems holding down the 6.6. Sometimes the wind is in the upper 20's and the 4.7 seems to be too much. So, this means either the sensors are screwing with me, or I have days where I can sail way overpowered, and days when I can't. I guess I don't understand my psyche very well. I wish I could be more consistent and have more days like today. I do remember a couple of days recently in wind about what we had today that I was sailing the 4.7 and impressed with it's power and range up. . I met and talked with Gregger from Scotland via Houston today. Nice fellow, a surfer who took up windsurfing when he visited Baja a year ago and saw all the sailors ripping it up after it got too windy to surf. Also saw Eliana & Evan on their new boards and Thomas and Big Bill and Mike M. Mike lost his brand new Ezzy 5.4 from the top of his car, but I think he'll find it when someone has time to turn it in. Unfortunately, he probably would have been on the 5.4 today.
