This direction had you sailing right off the end of the pier. Fun decent sized waves on the outside but I could not ride nearly as much as I would have liked. I heeded some rigging advice I later regretted, and took down the 5.2 in favor of 4.7, only to find myself weakly powered, so few outbound jumps and a fair amount of pinching in lieu of wave riding. I tried to practice the S-turn on a wave thing and i'm a beginner but picking it up. My booties developed an annoying habit of slipping off this board just when i needed them to tack etc. But overall great fun session, and you could not ask for a nicer warmer day in Jan!!!
