Lots of fun, but I didn't make a good jibe all day. First time launching from McGee. Lots of random chop, difficult to break off the beach, but once out, it was a lot of fun. Had a weird scare once near the beach. I was kicking to waterstart and kicked something smooth, I thought it was the beach (at that point, it is slick clay, though sandier in closer), but then I tried to stand, and whatever the object was swam off! Oops! I don't know what it was, but it was smooth like the clay bottom just off the beach. I'm certain it wasn't the bottom, though.

All in all a very fun day, just pounding around in some big chop. I love that kind of stuff, and with the onshore wind, it's pretty safe (if you don't break down near the rocky sea wall).
