Crazy amounts of current. They jacked up the outflow from John Day dam from 200 to 317 while we were there, just for us. A struggle to stay even with the launch--had to really draw out the jibes. The gusts were hard and popping. I thought I'd be more comfortable on the 4.0, which proved ot be a mistake. Too much shlogging meant the walk of shame from the other side of the eastern beach launch. I went back to the 4.5. On the last run I said heck with the current and did an upwinder to the rock island with one less thing to worry about. Nice. | ||
