Sucky. Even the radio was saying 30 MPH gusting to 40 MPH as the forecast, and it was blowing that hard out east. So the wind looked OK and rigged a 4.5 to be on the small size. Got one planing run and then it dropped. Waited. Got the second rig out to have something bigger, hmmm, 6.5 or 5.7. Forecast says its really going to turn on later so rigged 5.7 to be on the small size. Went out, a couple planing runs, looks like it is going to turn on, then no... Dalles airport shows 28. Dougs stuck sub 20, what the heck. I blame the forecast, 6.5 might have been doable, but I felt too stupid to rig it. Maybe I should have drove all the way out to Roosevelt. | ||
