005 - BIG blow all day as tropical cold front #17 slammed through the area. Wind direction was a little more westerly than usual with tacks between SI#2 and the north end. Spent the last half of the session staying on the outside along the sandbar between SI#1 and #2. Full to over power made for only one session, just as it was getting more comfortable the peak of the day must have hit. Considering all the wind, the chop was only moderate but several times had that feeling of being on the edge of control. Relieved to have been able to make the 4.7 work, just short of butt ugly with a little more than maximum settings, without any incidents or time in the water, that says alot about the range of the Wave Panther. Probably a dozen on the water, largest sail was 5.0 with most of the big guys on 4.7 too. | ||
