I was pretty excited to be off work and have local wind that I did not have to drive 4 hours for. When I showed up, Antoine Albeau was rigging a small Ezzy to go with his AHD shortboard. Although it felt windy, I knew better, and rigged the usual gear. The gusts were pretty good and I was having a good time. It was on/off, but really nice weather. About an hour later, I muffed a helitack and gently fell on top of my sail with outstretched hands and my thumb popped through the main panel. I guess it was putting pressure on a rigging crease in the monofilm and it gave way. Bummer! The rest of the local fast crew arrived and rigged up their Huckers and various 7.0s. I rigged my 6.2 Blade and went back out, but never planed. Bigger bummer. Oh well. | ||
