I can't believe I was at the beach two days in a row!!!!!! That hasn't happened in what.....all year?!? And today was great. I just happened to luck out and show up for the absolute peak of the wind, as the graph would later reveal. Too many surfers to catch the exact breaks I wanted, but i improvised by either going out beyond them by the jetty or in closer but further north. I felt a little rusty but more in terms of forgetting stuff i was working on rather than actually sailing badly. I did fine. I was pretty upset with my reactor bar at one point, though, when i was sailing one-handed and bounced right out of my harness and splash landed. I like the hook better even though it's more wear and tear. It just grips on better. Luckily my last run took me toward shore just seconds late enough to avoid a kitemare. It was due to equipment failure, not recklessness, but it still could have taken someone out. | ||
