Today had so much potential. It was beautiful, over head high on the outside, not great jumping ramps but nice pitch to them and great for riding. I just seemed to be having gear issues and I could not even pinpoint why it wasn't working. I could not stay upwind despite feeling like I had plenty of power. At this point, my board, sail, boom, and fin are all suspect. Main suspect is the fin, which I'd changed out for yesterday's slalom. I just couldn't point. So i wound up sailing pretty much by myself, far down the beach, and not riding waves like I'd like. I finally broke my old wetsuit and came in to shed it. Surprise surprise, I didnt even need it. I felt great in the bathing suit and water/air are warm enough. I came in all the way down at Newport Pass at one point, but I managed to do one last looong run and point high enough to make it all the way back to the jetty and my car, wave riding included!
