Strange session. The wind did not quite come through, but according to the forecast there was no more wind expected over the weekend -- so Ulrich and I took the afternoon off to go to Milnerton Aquatic Club.

Lots of people on the water - including technique guru Jem Hall, who is down in Cape Town with John Skye to work on a wave sailing DVD - he was practising some freestyle stuff on the Vlei. Whatever he was trying, he did not seem to land them.

Most of us spent most of the time slogging upwind and then pumping onto the plane with the occasional gust. The sea was also very flat, so there were many Euros on wave-kit slogging along. Strangely this was more fun than it sounds - my hands got beaten up though, because the light wind required much more boom handling.
