The gulf didn't come up as planned. I was on all new (to me) gear in the bay and felt like I never got tuned in, but between the unfamiliar sail, boom, and board, gusty wind, and not having sailed a lot lately, I could not pinpoint what exactly was going wrong. I'm still getting the feeling that this board is amazing in the waves, but for freestyle/chop sailing it and I are not really on the same page. The freestyle crew showed up later and that really would have been fun, but i had to leave early for the memorial service and didn't want to push limits on time.
