I managed to dodge the afternoon traffic and drove to the other side of the peninsula for a sail at Big Bay. The Tableview/Sunset Beach area was blown-out, so the tourists who did not drive up to Melkbos were all out at Big Bay (contrary to what the name suggests it is a fairly small bay). By the time I got out I counted 45 other windsurfers on the water.

I stayed on the left to escape the crowd and to stay away from the bigger waves. Perfectly powered up, I had no problems getting out and only once got a washing after miss-timing my run-out.

[Just past the rocks I saw the fin of a dolphin (?) just lounging behind the waves there - marine life freak me out, since the world record bull shark was caught at Witsand this week]
