Nice sunny warm afternoon with refreshing cool water while wearing the 3/2 wetsuit. Not the best day at work, so it was even more welcome than usual. No planing today for me, but I am sure Laura would have planed and Brian would have got in a few vulcan attempts. I launched from the boat ramp since it was out of he south, but I hung out most of the time at the point doing LWF. Lots of helitacks and backwind sailing. Windy point is starting to be a real bird island, now with the nice smell of guano. I noticed (as did everyone on the lake) a lot of activity around the point today. Helicopters, police boats, a fire engine, and more than the usual activity of the park rangers on weekday afternoon. I will have to watch the news tonight to find out more. It cannot be good.

Helis were easier in the gusts...hmmm.
