This was an AWESOME day! For about the first hour I was practicing freestyle tricks, and then some guys told me they were going to "Butter Island" and invited me to follow along, so I did.  Well I ended up exploring and riding around islands that I didn't even know were out in the channel/Laguna.  I then saw a bunch of kites out on the horizon far south of me (I could only see little black arches in the sky!) so I rode upwind all the way to where they were, and eventually followed Jerry and two other guys into an area where I had to ride over a partially submerged fence with barbed wire on it, but it wasn't a big deal.  Then we just played there for a half hour or so, and then I made an awesome downwinder back attempting (mostly failing) unhooked kiteloops/ F-16s and multi-spins (both forward and back, to the left and to the right).  It was an awesome sunset to be riding in and I felt great coming in.  One bad incident though-when I was trying a trick I messed up with my kite and lufted it and when it fell the kite rolled over, so when I relaunched it one brake line was wrapped around a top line.  I was able to correct that by fiddling with my bar and the top lines, but when I fixed it the other side's brake line had wrapped around the corner of the kite, resulting in a very uneven pull to the left.  Luckily though on the 08 rebels they added these nice little bungies to the brake lines and so after a few minutes the brake line unwrapped itself, solving my problem, allowing me a little more time on the water :)  It wasn't easy to do, but I fixed my kite without needing to come in and land it, which was pretty cool.
