This might be R.I.P. 2002 Ezzy Infinity 6.6.  I'm going to take it to BT in the morning, to see if he can fix it [update: yup it's finished, BT said it's probably best to go for a new or newer used sail. :-( -- Bob would know, I nicknamed this sail an Ezzy-BT Infinity because about 25% of it was Bob's work!]

I had a fun time, but the sail has slowly ripped at the tack and when I downhauled today, it opened up wider and left enough gap that the leach wouldn't flop out and twist and the result was feeling like I was being yanked around by a monster truck. It just goes to show what great sails these are, that when they are rigged right they are so effortless.

I will say, though, that the extra oomph, though not easy to control, did give for much more jumpability, even though it wasn't really cranking.  I'll have to remember that in the future... less downhaul, less control but more oomph on the ramps.

Drove by Oleander on the way home... huge wind line.  Definitely more south today.  Sailed solo again.  It's still fun, but it would be awesome to have a dozen windsurfers out on days like this.  It's amazing that a 100 foot long, 1 or 2 foot high "wave" (glorified piece of chop) can be so fun.  Man, I could slide in and out of that shore break all day.  I can't imagine what fun Baja or the Cali coast must be.
