An okay day conditions-wise, made better by having the sexiest looper park next to me (still don't know what I did to deserve that). I guess the only title I earned today was wussiest looper. I bailed out of a forward and only tried one non-rotational back. Overall didn't make the best progress but it was GREAT to get back on the water after too long a layoff.

Oh--and I tried the Gath helmet I got from Brian (Laura really) at the swap. It worked well--I actually hit my head once although not hard. The one weird thing was not hearing. I realized I base a lot of my planing ability judgment on the sound of the wind, and this really blocks that out. But I like it.
