Looked like a tiny chance for wind, so I decided to head out. My decision was helped by having a couple of guys from the rec.windsurfing newsgroup in town. We checked out the new beach by TAMCC, but it wasn't that great looking, the wind was low and a bunch of jellyfish had washed ashore. We headed to Bird instead

Bird wasn't great either, but I rigged my 7.8 and sailed a bit. I never got planing, though. It was good hanging out with John and Greg & Ed Branch (from Dallas & Austin, respectively). There were also two women I didn't meet sailing longboards. Annie and the kids came out for awhile, to get out of the house. All-in-all, not a bad day, but the wind didn't cooperate.
