It wasn't really supposed to blow, and it only blew a little for about 90 minutes, but I caught about 60 minutes of that. It was pretty fun. Lots of cabbage heads about, but nothing major. I had a few good runs, never really fully powered. At the end of the day I came off and re-repaired another ding... every board is getting dinged lately! Arghh! I can't afford even a new pair of booties, much less a board.

I did wear my waist harness today. It worked great. It hurts my back sometimes, but I think that's mainly on flatwater. If I'm on choppy water, it doesn't bother me. Part of it is the bar sliding to the side and having me turn awkwardly, too. It worked well overall, though. I like sailing with the waist harness because it feels more upright and in control in chop. Locking down with a seat harness is good sometimes, too. I'll use both depending on the conditions, I think.

Tom S., Thomas T. and Evan were all there, as were about another dozen sailors, including one of the best local sailors Olivier. He makes it look pretty easy and it fun to sail behind.
