Strange day weatherwise. Supercross event was postponed because of lack of wind. Forecast said it would be around 10 knots at Muizenberg. We took a chance and it looked higher when we arrived. In fact the Dad and his german daughter whom we met here a few weeks ago, just got off the water. He was on a 7.2 and felt it was getting a little strong for that.

I did well with the 6.5 I thought. I even got a gybe! Not perfect, but a gybe :-) Note to self: must move backhand further down the boom before initiating the turn.

As for Zandvlei - I now know why we don't come here anymore. The runs are too short - the water stinks - there is too much weed fouling one's fin - the wind is gusty.

Two old guys had a great time on a Laser and kids were trying to fish on the one side. Ulrich put the 5.7 Blade on his longboard and I sailed around on that a bit - nothing wrong with the tanker and great for practising tacks.
