Yesterday was the memorial service for Mike Burke. When I arrived at Bird, Mike's mom, brother (Kevin) and Kevin's wife were sitting at a shade structure - gazing at the smooth water rippling lightly. Kevin said Mike was with us now. He was so right. Mike was happy that it was a beautiful sunny afternoon - a tribute to his memory - and the breeze stirred up for a late afternoon session. Mike was on my mind everytime a good gust picked me up on a plane. Today was a 10 because Mike Burke's spirit graced his friends at Bird Island. | ||
