Mike called and said it was blowing at the beach so we decided to end our day wave style. The waves were big, breaking way out, very intimidating for me. I got out fine, but on my way in I rode a nice size wave that was breaking and it crumbled me up. I swam for my gear and then held on to the tip for quite a while getting my breath back to normal. Sailed back in and rested on the beach. I was facing the water and therefore did not notice the sky turning black behind me until B motioned to look that direction. Everyone threw all the gear in the cars and headed home.
