None of us were really sure what was the point of being there with these temperatures and the forecast showing the wind ending soon after sunrise, but we each pulled each other along for the ride. Turns out it was a great ride...sunny skies, beautiful waves, nice strong wind, side-off direction, and let's forget about the several minutes of excrutiating pain when your hands and fingers are warming back up after each session. I did 3 medium length sessions. Ellie 1 short, Mike 2 long, Allisa 1 very long, and Enes 2 or 3 very short (wearing just a shortie will tend to do that to you.)

First time I've worn booties in probably 10 years. Also tried the marigolds again, but they actually make things worse because you can't blow into your fist to warm up, nor do you get the benefit of clenching your fist for warmth, not to mention you're shading your hands from the bright toasty sunshine.

Just Mike, Alissa, Ellie, Enes, and me gave lots of room on the water. We were able to tie together 6 to 8 bottom turns on a single ride today. Maui's got nothing on Port A. ;) Besides, the air had warmed up to 50 degrees by the time we were finished.
