I rigged initially for the forecast. My new 6.2m2 and my Cross117. It was flat and light. After wasting 45 mintues watching the brave few shlog, I decided to rig the 7.5m2/C145. Inspired by Brian's new freestyle board, I pulled out my old low aspect Finworks H3. It was state of the art (production) in 1987. I used it on a 140 liter board (AHD 9'6") and sailed a 7.5m2 cammed slalom sail with it in the past. It did plane easily, but it was hard to point with it unless very powered (ironic since these fins were called pointers). It demanded an upright stance, since you could not push against it. It was probably good for helping my stance. It felt like my board would have been happier with my back foot strap further forward. | ||
