Today I didn't get on a plane, but I had a great day anyway. You see, it is Mother's Day and my wife asked a few days ago if we could go to Bird Island so she could windsurf! Yeah, hoo! And, the wind was perfect today, we picked up the Start at Cline Street Sailboards and she sailed for about 90 minutes, making it upwind quite a lot after going downwind to get some room. It was offshore but she made it back (in waste deep protected Laguna water). I sailed with her a little bit, and she said that helped, because she could follow me and show her how high she could point, etc. I think it was great that she *wanted* to go, and that I could spent some time with her. When we came home, I washed the car, went to the store and cooked dinner and cleaned up with help from the kids. I think it was a good Mother's Day. | ||
