TEN TIMES TEN
On the water early (11:30 am) with miles in mind. Didn't dream I'd make it to a personal best of 70.8 miles. Sailed 4 hrs 15 minutes.
Highlites of the day:
The Dog and I made a crossing to the KRS together. Dog was jumping rollers as we went across. I was on a slalom board and not trying to get air but I did anyway going outbound. Coming back was smooth and blazingly fast. When we got back to the launch Dog yelled out "you wore me out".....
One of my earlier crossings was memorable. Apparently pointed way upwind and on the return trip I lost track of where I was and ended up running aground between SI# 1 and #2. Luckily the fin just needs a little lite sanding to repair.
Another reason this day was a 10 is T-Bob and I got to sail together. We really didn't sail together but we were at Bird Island together. It's just fun when he's there to share the wind.
A little later in the day I was able to point real high to SI #1 and make long reaches to Burke Point. I like sailing to Burke Point and remembering our stoked windsurfing friend. Tried to rip some jibes for Burke.
