Probably the best way to draw wind is schedule something that requires no wind. The wind at BIB was 20-25+ all day but did the Canal Crawl Circumnavigation with Alissa, Dave and Don. The course was from Whitecap out the main canal to the IWC through the spoils and across flats to Cobo boat ramp then returned to Whitecap boat ramp. This course gave everyone more room to navigate in the canals and more shallow flats to navigate. Alissa and Dave made it exciting in several tacking duels and the lead changed several times. Don, organizer and the last winner really wanted to get rid of the trophy and took a break during the last leg. This was the fourth of the never annual Canal Crawl Circumnavigation and first time for this particular course. Michelle followed the group around on land and took a bunch of great photos as the race progressed. Maybe some pics will show up somewhere public sometime. The travelling trophy will collect some new dust and according to the winner, "it was the longest 4.3 miles ever sailed".
