Tuesday October 23, 2007, 1:00p-3:30p

31st session in 2007
Sailed at Windy Point
Wind from the NW (mph)
        lulls: 10
        average: 18
        gusts: 30
Rated a 7 of 10

Board: Exocet Cross 117
Sail: 7.5 Severne Gator
Suit: O'Neill 3/2 Evolution

Glad to get out in the remains of yesterday's wind. Some gusts were great, but there were definite holes. No pseudo-swell, but it was sunny. A couple of medium-sized guys on 6.0s fully powered up. One big guy riged a 10.0m2 and a formula board. I should have stopped him. He got worked.

The big lesson of the day was fin selection. I ran the stock 36cm supercross fin that worked great yesterday with the 5.7m2. I was having a tough time staying upwind today and it felt terrible with the 7.5m2. I put in the 42cm Sweeper and it was super easy to stay upwind, and I had more fun playing with the chop.

The holes got bigger and bigger as time went on, so I called it a day ( I had to coach 5 y/o's basketball anyway @ 5pm).
