The After-Sail-Hot-Shower felt so good. I under estimated how cold it was and should have brought my 4/3 wetsuit but I didn't so I wore the farmer john with an exo top. I was shivering after many dunks in the water. Why dunks you ask? The wind was ON or OFF. The ON's rate a 10 and the OFF's rate a 1, so I rank this 2 hour session a 5. The best run I had was a dash across the ICW to the KRS. What a blast!! There were giant rollers and even waves on the other side of the ICW. But the wind was so up and down I was afraid to go across again because it was highly possibly get stuck in a big hole and end up downwind. The weedbergs were plentiful between the launch and SI #1 which were problematic because when you schlogged thru a hole, the weeds clumped on your "weed" fin and stuck like glue. I had to bail off several times just to clear weeds because they weren't coming off even when the big gusts hit. Regardless of all my complaining about holes, weeds and being cold, it was still a fun session (took a day off work too). I've missed sailing small gear and I love sailing the 4.8 Hucker with the JP. | ||
