Big Wind Big Waves and Warm Water.
The beach was flooded from the high tide. Trapped by the burm. I saw Oliver's Van and new there was a way to get out there because he would never drive through standing salt water. You had to enter at Newport Pass and drive the beach. I got there around 3 only Zac was out and about 6 kiters and maybe 3 surfers. By the time I finished rigging the Tribe had showed. I took the 4.7 downhauled to the max with the 70L and it was great.I toyed with the idea of rigging down. I was way overpowered on the outside but perfect on the inside. By 5pm it was too much but I had to leave anyway. The waves were building the whole time. There were some awesome head high sets on the outside but it was weird catching them because they were coming in at an angle. Wind was very south at first and started to shifr a bit as I was getting finished. AWESOME day. It was awesome to see everyone back out on the water. People I haven't seen in months! I think 8 windsurfers and about the same kiters.
