The good news is I did not have to rent gear. The bad news is I did not have to rent gear.

It was pretty frustrating wind for me, until the mid afternoon. I could plane, but at the expense of ending up downwind. I don't really like my weedfin unless it is fully powered. I may try to look for a new fin for the C145. Water level was high, which was nice.

It was great to see Mike, Brian and Laura. I hadn't seen them since their excellent Maui trip. Given what the forecast was, it does seem I am bad luck for them. TBC strikes again.

Still, I'll take the day, and hope I get to use my new sails real soon.
