Bad session. Spiders and horse flies on the beach. Cruising day not a prayer of planing as I had hoped. Wind was very shifty and I was ending up on the wrong end of the shifts. Then it died with me in the middle of the lake. I tried to sail it in, but sail 360s on a formula board and 11 meter sail are no fun and you wreck your gear.

Started to swim it in (11 meter sails are good anchors). I got about half way and then a 3mph breeze appeared. Of course, out of the east (directly upwind of the launch). But, my arms were getting tired of paddling, so I decided to sail it in.

Wasted obese couple camped out on dock comment "you were out a long time. Where did you go?"

I am probably going to get rid of my formula board and gear. I would have had 10 times more fun SUPing.
