Beautiful day. Light but sailable wind. Got a lot of exercise, lot of light wind technique practice time and several very fun full planning runs. The water level was as high as I've seen it at Bird Island. Most of the north end was underwater. This turned out to be a lifesaver. I made one crossing to the KRS but the wind dropped off and switched from southeast to east, so I ended up making several long tacks to get back. I could sail right over areas usually above water. It took about an hour to get back but there was some decent wind for a few runs between the north end and half way to SI#2. About 10 windsurfers on the water. I've only had 4 September sessions and hoping October is going to kick off a windy finale to the year. All-n-all, today was a nice way to wrap up September - windsurfing with T-Bob and friends.
