It's like summer here in Auckland. The air temperature isn't high, but if you're in the sun, it's absolutely summer. And spring has just started, so hopefully a good start.
The Takapuna windmeter had an average of 11 knots, so I thought might as well try it, perhaps it's even better out in the channel. But unfortunately that wasn't too be. I schlogged to Rangitoto and the wind turned East, so behind Rangitoto. Schlogged back, even more precariously than first. I was afraid I would fall in the water, there would be no way I could get back on the board. Luckily made it close to the shore before I fall off. Started to swim, but the wind picked up a bit, so could get back on the board and cover the last 200 metres.
Rest of the week looks good. And hopefully I have my new Slalom board then so even light winds should be fun again. The fin of the BIC Nova is just too much and the board too heavy, so let's see how a real slalom board works.
