First day of Fall and I'm looking forward to a WINDY rest of 2007! The NOAA site said that the max gust was 14 mph but T-Bob saw 19 mph at WW's. It's been pretty bleak for wind this last part of Summer. T-Bob bought the new I-Sonic 122 and gave me his "old" Sonic 125 so I was really anxious to try it out. There were 3 windsurfers out and I was the only one planning. If the wind was a steady 14, it would have been a 10 Session because I really like that Sonic 125 and it's great powered by the 8.0 - but the wind was inconsistent. T-Bob also gave me a waist harness for my BD, so I got to try it out and I like it a lot. Sadly, the 125 probably retires the Pro-Tech Z27 that T-Bob gave me - a sweet board that has served me well on light wind days for a couple of years.
We had a couple of after-sail-brews at Worldwinds - talking with Don, Angela and Randy - a nice way to end a beautiful day. T-Bob didn't sail - just a bit too lite for him but he still enjoyed soaking up some rays and watching me try out the 125. This session finally bumped me past 1400 miles for the year.
