I did not have high expectations for this afternoon, but I kept seeing the branches moving outside for the first time in a long time. So, I went for it. It was really pleasant. The wind was reading 5-12mph on my windmeter when I got there. I knew it would be a formula day, but I just could not bring myself to dig the formula board out of the garage. I only brought the C145, but this time I brought a big sail and race fin. I had tried this combo once before, and surprisingly, it worked really well. I did not know if it would work again, but thought I would give it a try.

It was awesome. The wind started to pick up a little and we got a few really nice gusts. The set-up was perfect. Quick to plane and never once over-powered or unwieldy. I think the sail and fin really just match up well.

It felt really good to sail powered up today. I am glad I went for it.
