Picked up the harness and lines from DaKine this morning so decided to sail the Event Site since I was already there. The forecast was worse than yesterday and I figured the flat water would be better on my knees if I brought out the 8.3.

Rigged the 8.3 from the start and the wind of course picked up. Had the adjustable outhaul pulled all the way out and it stayed that way for my entire session, so I guess I was overpowered. But the sail was never yanking away from me and there were the omnipresent racerheads at the event site holding down stuff just as large, so I sucked it up. Was able to go way fast most of the time unless I got stuck in a field of chop. Then I just freaked out and slowed down... probably the wrong thing to do. Plenty of fast fully planning jibes next to the barge buttresses (no more jibing in the cove).

I went in from just being tired. Didn't want to get hurt from a lapse while going so fast. It picked up just a bit more but really was about the same the whole day. I was pretty exhausted though so packed it up rather than rig a 6.5--probably would need to milk that one anyway. Plus loads of people were on the water by now.. mahem!!!
