41st session in 2007
Sailed at Hatchery, WA
Wind from the W (mph)
        lulls: 12
        average: 16
        gusts: 22
Rated a 7 of 10

Board: Bic Veloce 298
Sail: 6.5 Ezzy Infinity, 8.3 Windwing Synthesis
Fin: Blade fin, Weed fin
Suit: 3/2 Shorty
Water Temperature: 70 F
Air Temperature: 77 F

Went out on the 6.5 first. A lot of huffing and puffing to get going. Really should have rigged the 8.3 from the start. It looked right for the conditions but I was optimistic and I can use the 6.5 on either board, so....

Finally I couldn't stand it and rigged the big stuff--I'm carrying it around after all. And it actually worked pretty well. The wind stayed mellow and there was a bit of a swell running. Some big gusts but short lived enough that they were easy to handle. Hard to jibe an 8.3 on the swell--too much apparent wind but I got off a few good ones.

Thumbs up on the reactor hook. I do wish they made the lip of the roller a bit bigger--seems to just barely be on there most of the time, but much easier to unhook for jibes now.
