40th session in 2007
Sailed at Doug's Beach, WA
Wind from the W (mph)
        lulls: 18
        average: 20
        gusts: 30
Rated a 9 of 10

Board: Bic Veloce 298, F2 Wave 259
Sail: 6.5 Ezzy Infinity
Fin: Wave fin, Weed fin
Suit: 3/2 Shorty
Water Temperature: 69 F
Air Temperature: 77 F

Went out on the Veloce in the early afternoon and then on the wave board in the late afternoon when it picked up--both times with the 6.5.

Had a lot of fun on each board. Actually I think the Veloce was better just because I was the only one on the water able to do anything... nice not to look like a beginner all the time :-).

Just arriving cranky guy asked me what size sail I had used when I was about done packing up my gear for the day. I told him 6.5. Then he told me 6.5 was the wrong size to use. Umm.. ok...

Chinook harness lines lasted two sessions before the tubing broke. I think these new stainless steel hooks are harder on the lines because the metal is thinner and puts more stress in a smaller place. I'm going to see if I can get a replacement from Big Winds but will likely buy a reactor bar to see if that helps. $10 per session for lines is steep.
