Absolutely wild day. The forecast was so bleak, the smallest board I took was the 110 Sonic but we had a major blast of 20 -25 mph that required a gear change. I started out on the Z32 (151 ltrs) and the 8.0 Retro - which was great for about the first 10 miles of sailing. Then the big blow came and I rigged down to the 5.6 and wished I had brought my 78 ltr JP, so the 110 had to do. Moving the mast track forward helped tame the board but it was still too big. Finally the wind turned south and settled down to where my setup was perfect. This is the first decent wind in quite a while so who can complain? T-Bob ended up taking my 8.0 (he started on a 9.0) and had a great session on his formula board, then the Z32, then a smaller Roberts board. It was a very fun day sailing with T-Bob and several other windsurfers.
