WooHoo! I never in a million years thought I would ever have the nerve to sail Ho'okipa. I almost didn't. I got tangled up in the shore break, but managed to extract myself back up to the beach. I stood there dejected watching, until Mike came in and gave me a pep talk and basically put me on the board and pushed me away (not really, but he encouraged me by shouting "NOW, NOW, NOW". Yah! It was a bit light on the inside, but I held my own. I had some nice jumps and basically enjoyed sailing with J-0, pretty sure a pro female. It was so smooth between the waves. | ||
