Not too bad of a day, but my jibes sucked. It was a lot like yesterday, but a bit windier. I still rigged my 6.6, but the fin was a bit too big. I stuck it out, though. I was definitely overpowered a few times, but usually just well-powered up.

I love Oleander, it's my favorite place to sail right now. I'm sure I'll change again, but for now it's perfect. It's close, it's easy to get rigged and derigged fast. Overall, it's just easy to get out there. And once there, it's just a blast.

One of my friends who was a little intimidated by the bay was there today. He's sailed it before, but just a couple of times and didn't seem to have a great time. This is similar to how I felt about the bay until recently. Today my friend just ripped. He was awesome. I think it was a male competitive thing... when you are around other people, you just get more aggressive and less worried. He looked great though.

His wife was there and I had her video tape me for a few minutes. I looked pretty good, I thought. At least, I looked like I was in control and had good technique. I jibed a couple of times, too, and that worked out. I found a couple of problems, so it will be good to try it again soon, to see if I can work them out. I also figured out that I am throwing the sail too late on my duck jibes. I also had one, but biffed two others. The two that I biffed were definitely too late, but I just had trouble after the grab on the other one. I think I need to stay a little more forward and keep my knees more bent, too.
