52nd session in 2007
Sailed at Camp One, Maui
Wind from the NE (mph)
        average: 25
Rated a 8 of 10

Board: '07 Mistral Syncro Fish 75
Sail: '08 Hot Sails Maui Smack 4.8

We successfully managed to lose Bill by hiding underwater and breathing through bamboo straws until the coast was clear. Bribing the guy at the beach to give incorrect directions also proved to be very useful.

It's fun beating up to the wave break with your mates and then back downwind afterwards. It gives just enough of a taste of course racing without having to ride all that large expensive gear.

First session was slightly light, but it was only us three in the break (with occasional stragglers), which is quite nice. The next session we were properly powered up. Gonna try to switch it out.

I'm not in love with the 4.8 Smack. Perhaps it had the wrong mast. I had to downhaul it 4 cm more than the recommended max to make it perform even reasonably well.

Laura gave some good advice about looping.

PSB: Fire Rock
PSG: Burrrgerrrrs @ Charley's with L,M
