First time to see a sign posted at the launch stating that Bacteria levels exceed PINS standards. The water was merky compared to what it has been lately. I suppose the excessive rain and the news about flesh-eating bacteria contracted by a fisherman from Galveston Bay created a need for notification. I still feel safer in the waters at Bird Island than Corpus Christi Bay at this time.
Barely sailable but I got a few miles and enjoyed a couple of After-Sail-Brews with T-Bob and Robert. Had a few planning runs until the wind shifted East - then even an 8.0 couldn't save the day!
