Arrived at Bird Island at 10:45 am. Bill, windsurfer from Houston was sitting at a picnic table - it was fairly breezy. So we rigged and had a short but sweet 30 minute planning session. I made one run across to the KRS. It was a straight shot because the wind was so southerly. But the wind started getting holely and I was worried about anymore crossings. Finally had to go get the 110 ltr board, which helped temporarily - then the wind just died. Headed home at 1pm. Told the late arrivals that I would sacrifice and leave so they would get some wind. At least I got a few miles and a couple of good rides before heading back to work tomorrow. | ||
