If there are any more perfect conditions at Bird (wind speed & direction, chop, air & water temp, water level), I haven't seen them. I practiced for an hour around the slalom buoys--that's my favorite time, I realized, better than the actual racing--and I had a somewhat significant first. First time jumping at bird and rotating the board a full 180 in the air, fin competely out of the water. The more I practice I think I'll be able to translate that into an actual move. And yes there was an aggro (is that the word??) guy on a rented ezzy.
Oh yeah and I hit a fish so hard its head left a mark on my leg. I can only imagine the poor fish.
